Flu and Covid Vaccinations 2021/2022
We will be offering Flu vaccines and Covid boosters later this year and in early 2022.
Supplies of vaccines are always erratic, and appointments will only be released as deliveries are received.
Please be aware that there are specific types of vaccine most suitable for different age groups and you may not be booked into the same clinic as neighbours or family members.
Please make sure your contact details are up to date with your local surgery, preferably including a mobile phone number as invitations will be sent by text message.
We will call all the most vulnerable patients individually and publicise clinics closer to the time. Please do not call the Surgery with queries about vaccination more details will be released as soon as possible.
Thank you
Nationwide Blood Bottle Shortage
Due to a nationwide shortage of blood bottles, we have been instructed by NHS England to restrict blood tests to those that are urgent or necessary for safe prescribing of medication or urgent monitoring of a condition.
This will mean that we may need to cancel any non-urgent blood test appointments already booked, but we will let you know as soon as we have reviewed our appointments lists. We will get in touch with you by phone or text if we need to cancel. If you haven't heard from us, please attend your appointment as normal. Please DO NOT contact the surgery to check.
Unfortunately this is out of our control. We will keep our Facebook page and website updated regarding the situation. Thank you for your patience.

Covid 19 Restrictions 19th July 2021

Throughout the pandemic we have followed the specific NHS England guidance for Primary Care closely and our procedures will remain the same until updated.

Most appointments with GPs will continue to be carried out by telephone or video call. The GPs continue to invite patients in for a face to face review when needed as has been the case throughout the pandemic.

Face coverings - you must wear a face covering when visiting our surgeries.

Social distancing - we are maintaining social distancing in our waiting areas to help protect you and make you feel safe when you visit us.

Hand hygiene - please remember to sanitise your hands when entering or leaving our sites.

Many of our patients and staff are still vulnerable to Covid and we know the new variants are spreading fast.

Thank you to our Patient Participation Group members for supporting our caution approach and to all the patients who have supported us through the pandemic.

NHS England Data Opt Out

We have received a lot of enquiries following media coverage of the NHSE data opt out.

This allows patients to opt out of their data being used for health and care planning and research.

More details are available on the website https://www.nhs.uk/your-nhs-data-matters/

If you decide to opt out please complete the form below and hand it to your GP Surgery reception.

Patient Access

We would like to reassure patients and carers that all our surgeries and dispensaries are open subject to social distancing regulations.

We have continued to offer all services authorised by NHS England throughout the pandemic including face to face appointments where clinically indicated. Telephone and video appointments remain first line to protect patients and staff and allow us to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Chronic disease reviews and medication reviews have continued throughout the pandemic via telephone, video, and face to face contact as appropriate.

Referrals to secondary care have continued, but please understand that most hospital departments have long waiting lists as a result of the pandemic.

Our teams continue to work incredibly hard to offer routine services alongside the additional requirements of the pandemic, currently the Covid vaccination campaign being hosted at our Grange Park site.

Please be patient. Demand is currently extremely high for GP services nationally, but our services remain open and available.

Thank you
